Clarix AI ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Clarix AI - AI Portrait Editor (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Photos and Images: When you use our AI portrait features, you may upload or select photos from your device. These photos are used to generate AI portraits.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable information about how you interact with the App, such as feature usage, session duration, and crash logs, solely for the purpose of improving the App experience.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version — used only for compatibility and troubleshooting.

2.3 Data NOT Collected

• We do NOT collect your photo library or camera roll contents outside of images you explicitly select for processing.
• We do NOT access your contacts, location, calendar, or other personal data unrelated to the App's functionality.
• We do NOT collect precise geolocation data.

4. Data Processing & Storage

4.1 On-Device Processing

Clarix AI prioritizes your privacy. All AI photo processing is performed locally on your device whenever technically feasible. Your original photos and generated images remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export them.

4.2 Cloud Processing (If Applicable)

In cases where cloud-based AI models are used for more advanced processing:

• Photos are transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) to our servers
• Images are processed immediately and automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours
• No human review of your photos occurs during normal processing
• We do not use your photos to train our AI models without your explicit consent

4.3 Data Retention

• Photos: Original and generated images are stored locally on your device. We do not retain your photos on our servers beyond the processing period.
• Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services.
• Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.

5. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics services), bound by confidentiality agreements and prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to you.
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly direct us to share your information.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Opt-Out: Opt out of analytics tracking through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Subscription & Payment Data

What we collect from Apple: When you purchase a subscription, Apple provides us with:

• Your Apple ID account identifier (non-public identifier, not your actual email)
• Original transaction ID
• Subscription status (active/expired/cancelled) and expiration date

What we do NOT collect: We never receive your credit card number, billing address, or full payment details. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple.

How long we keep subscription data: We retain your transaction ID for as long as your subscription is active, plus up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements. You may request deletion, but doing so will prevent us from restoring your premium access.

How to cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iOS device. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no partial refunds are provided.

Refunds: All refund requests must be directed to Apple Support. We cannot process refunds directly.

13.Third-Party AI Service

Our app uses Alibaba Cloud's Bailian platform (including qwen-image-edit-plus and related AI models) to provide AI-powered photo editing features such as AI Hairstyle Try-On, AI Face Swap, and AI Headshot Generation.

When you use these AI features:

• Your uploaded images are transmitted securely via HTTPS encryption to Alibaba Cloud servers for AI processing

• Alibaba Cloud processes your images solely to generate AI-edited results

• Your images are automatically deleted from Alibaba Cloud servers within 24 hours after processing

• Your images are never used to train, improve, or fine-tune any AI models

• Your images are never shared with, sold to, or accessed by any other third parties

• Alibaba Cloud is contractually obligated to provide the same level of data protection as described in this Privacy Policy
